I was 23, living and working in London, feeling young and invincible, as you do at that age. But a routine check-in with my doctor changed everything in an instant. I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and told that one day I'd need a wheelchair. The news hit hard, but it sparked a profound shift in how I saw the world.
I left my job behind, grabbed the biggest backpack I could find, and set off with my wife to explore a world that might soon feel out of reach. We journeyed across 35 countries, from ancient ruins to vibrant markets. It was exhilarating and life-affirming. Yet, as we hiked up Machu Picchu and paddled through Vietnam's waterways, I felt my mobility slipping away. A walking stick became essential, and some paths were simply too painful. It hit me then: the world wasn't built for disabled travelers, and my challenges would only grow.
Back in the UK, I grabbed a notepad and sketched out a vision for an accessible future. Those ideas evolved into Limitless—a company empowering the disabled community to travel without limits. We kicked off with a simple coach tour to Blackpool, and eight years later, we're guiding Limitless adventurers to every corner of the globe. So, the only question left is: where do you want to go?
