Today marks the start of an extraordinary adventure. Going from home to holiday couldn't be easier with our door-to-door pick up service that is free of charge for journeys up to 125 miles. On arrival at Southampton our team will be waiting to greet you, providing support with check-in and boarding. They'll then be time to explore the ship before we meet for dinner as a group.
Land Ahoy! Following a hearty breakfast, our dedicated team will assist everyone ashore. The Aurora typically docks at Quay de France, just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Cherbourg is renowned for its seafaring legacy and cinematic fame in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Explore its maritime history at the Cité de la Mer museum, featuring a nuclear submarine and 17 stunning aquariums, one of which is over 10 meters deep.
Day 3 aboard the Aurora promises excitement from dawn till dusk! Kick off with a delightful breakfast. Join an invigorating morning fitness class, then perhaps bask in the sun by the pool. The Aurora is a world-class ship and a favourite among experienced cruisers. It boasts all the facilities you've come to expect of a P&O vessel but also benefits from a slightly more intimate feel. From the spectacular, glass-roofed SkyDome to the expansive cinema screen, you're sure to be blown away.
Full board: all meals are included in the price of your cruise holiday for complete ease and mouth-watering luxury at sea. There’s also an option to add a ‘drinks package’, which can be done either before or during your cruise.
Going from home to holiday has never been easier. We'll pick you in an accessible minibus, transferring you directly to the port where our team will be waiting to assist with check in.
This door to door transfer service is included free of charge each way for journeys within 125 miles of the port. For any journeys greater than 125 miles a charge of £3.25 per mile will apply (up to a maximum distance of 250 miles).
Please note, if you live in the following regions: Yorkshire, North East England, Wales, then an additional charge of £200 may be applied to your booking. This is due to our drivers needing to travel the night before to ensure pick up can be completed at the scheduled time on departure day.
