Explore the Apex

Your first full day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, we'll meet for breakfast in the morning to discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that with the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers, there's always a friendly face around. Your Tour Manager will also set up a WhatsApp group to keep everyone in the loop and informed of any group plans.

First Port of Call

Land Ahoy! After breakfast, the Limitless Travel team will assist with disembarking and exploring your first destination. Stavanger, once a Viking stronghold, is known for its charming, well-preserved wooden houses that line the historic centre.

Often called the "Cradle of the Vikings," Stavanger's history dates back to 872, when Viking King Harald Hårfagre unified Norway at nearby Hafrsfjord. With its rich heritage and lively modern culture, Stavanger offers the perfect mix of history and contemporary experiences.

Discover the Fairytale Charm of Alesund

Ålesund’s unique charm comes from its Art Nouveau architecture, with over 300 buildings featuring turrets, spires, and decorative details. The town was rebuilt in this style after a fire in 1904. Surrounding Ålesund, the towering mountains and fjords, shaped by glaciers over thousands of years, boast stunning waterfalls like the 300-meter-long Skridulaupen waterfall.

Note: Although the ship is scheduled to dock, Ålesund may require tendering due to its location and weather conditions.

Norwegian Nature at its Finest

Nestled at the tip of the Nordfjord, the picturesque town of Olden feels like a journey back in time, with much of its charm reminiscent of the 17th century.

The region is home to Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier on mainland Europe, with easy access to both the Briksdal and Kjenndalen glaciers, which dramatically descend into the valleys below. Nearby, the crystal-clear waters of Lake Oldevatnet reflect the towering peaks and cascading waterfalls, creating a breathtaking scene of natural Norwegian beauty.

Crossing the imaginary line of the Arctic Circle as you cruise Norway’s starkly beautiful fjord-indented coast is a thrilling rite of passage to many travellers. Jagged, tooth-like mountains, their peaks dusted in snow even in summer, extend along the coast as far as the eye can see. Hundreds of rocky islets and skerries, remnants of the last Ice Age, are scattered across the sea. The design of the Apex has been carefully crafted with these breathtaking landscapes in mind.

This vibrant city in northern Norway sits above the Arctic Circle and stands out as one of the prime locations to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights. Tromsø, once known as the "Paris of the North," boasts a dynamic city centre teeming with youthful energy, a bustling harbour, and a diverse international culinary scene featuring charming cafes, lively pubs, and vibrant restaurants. Among its highlights is the Arctic Cathedral, constructed in 1965, and renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows.

The Northernmost City on Mainland Europe

Situated on the island of Magerøya, Honningsvåg stands as the northernmost city on mainland Europe and serves as the primary port for cruise passengers journeying towards the Arctic Circle. This rugged yet enchanting town is adorned with brightly painted wooden buildings set against a backdrop of expansive tundra, majestic fjords, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests. During your visit immerse yourself in the local culture by sampling the delicacies offered at the town's charming cafes and restaurants, which showcase an array of fresh seafood, "koldtbord" (cold table buffets), and traditional "pølser" (sausages).

Today, you'll find yourself back on board the ship as we continue our journey through the Arctic Circle. Relax and enjoy inclusive entertainment on the Celebrity Apex. Watch Broadway-style shows in the accessible Theatre, or enjoy live music in various lounges. For quieter options, enjoy movies or performances in the Eden venue. There’s something for everyone, with shows designed for easy access and enjoyment.

Norway's Third-Largest City

Nestled along the tranquil shores of the Trondheim Fjord lies Trondheim, Norway’s third-largest city, where modernity beautifully intertwines with medieval charm. Explore the iconic Nidaros Cathedral, situated at the heart of the city, and admire its stunning Gothic architecture. As you move through the streets adorned with colourful buildings, immerse yourself in Trondheim’s old-world allure.

The Town of Roses

Discover Molde, a picturesque city in Norway where the flowers still grow despite its northernly location. This charming destination is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, blooming gardens, and a love of jazz music. As you explore Molde, you will be surrounded by an impressive backdrop of 222 snow-capped mountains, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring view.

See the Seven Sisters Waterfall

Geiranger is a picturesque village situated at the head of the Geirangerfjord, one of the most famous and breathtaking fjords in Norway. It is remote even by Norwegian standards. Winding your way through the Geiranger Fjord feels like the entrance to a secret world. Geiranger is famous for its numerous waterfalls, the most iconic of which is the Seven Sisters waterfall with its seven separate streams plunging from the cliffs into the fjord below.

*Please note, that although the ship is due to dock at the port on this date, this destination can also be tendered due to its geographical placement. The port would only be tendered due to a circumstance outside of the captains control.

A Former Viking Stronghold

Bergen is a city straight out of a storybook, surrounded by deep fjords, towering mountains, and sweeping glaciers. At the heart of Bergen lies Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where winding cobblestone alleys transport you back through 400 years of Hanseatic history. Wander through artisan workshops, browse unique crafts, or visit the iconic Fish Market for a taste of the region’s famous seafood.

Sailing Home

Today is your final full day at sea, so spend it how you wish. Explore the Celebrity Apex, take in the views from the open decks, visit the art gallery, relax in the spa, or join in the onboard activities. The Limitless Care Team is always here if you need anything to help make your day easier.

Disembark & Home Drop Off

Following your final breakfast aboard Celebrity Apex, the Limitless team will assist with check-out. The ship’s crew will take down your bags, and we’ll help you disembark, make sure you reach your pick-up, and say our farewells. Your transfer will then get you home, dropping you off at your front door. We can’t wait to see you on your next Limitless holiday!
