Your holiday begins! Having met our friendly team at your local pick-up point, we’ll then make our way to your home-from-home, a disabled-friendly hotel in Plymouth. Located on the border between Devon and Cornwall, this historic maritime city will be the base from which we will explore the surrounding sights over the next few days.
On arrival at the hotel, the Limitless Team will help you get settled in. Then, it’s time for a delicious three-course dinner followed by an evening of entertainment hosted by your tour manager.
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll make our way to Plymouth harbour, where we'll be boarding an accessible boat for a leisurely cruise around the dockyard. With commentary provided by a local expert, you'll be treated to a fascinating insight into the maritime history of the area. Back on dry land, we'll enjoy lunch together before visiting the impressive National Marine Aquarium. In fact, it's the largest aquarium in the UK and part of the Ocean Conservation Trust - a charity dedicated to connecting people with the ocean and preserving natural habitats. You’ll have a chance to get up close and personal with rays, sharks, jellyfish, humpheads, triggerfish, lionfish and so much more.
On Day Three of your holiday, we’ll be heading for the spectacular Eden Project. One of the UK’s top attractions, the centre is situated in an enormous, natural crater and consists of a series of large biomes that house the world's largest indoor rainforest.
You’ll have the chance to see thousands of exotic tropical plants and flowers from every corner of the globe and experience a living rainforest first-hand, without ever having to leave Cornwall! A must-visit, and a sensational day enjoyed by all - just make sure to charge your camera.
What will today bring? Located in a picturesque valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park is Buckfast Abbey. This historic Abbey is home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks, who live their lives of prayer and study in strict accordance to the ancient rule of St Benedict. Take your time to appreciate the stunning architecture and gardens of the Abbey, as we explore its fascinating history.
In the afternoon we'll be visiting the wonderful Butterfly and Otter Sanctuary, also located in the village of Buckfast, and loved by nature enthusiasts!
It wouldn't be a holiday in Devon without a visit to the seaside, and today we'll be exploring the picturesque town of Torquay. There will be plenty of time to explore the shops and sights before we tuck into fish and chips on the promenade - oh we do like to be beside the seaside.
In the afternoon we'll enjoy traditional Devonshire cream tea, where the biggest decision of the day comes your way - jam or cream first on your scone? In the evening, we will get together for another fantastic dinner at the hotel, followed by another round of evening entertainment.
On Day Six, we’ll leave leave Plymouth and take a drive over to Charleston. This traditional Cornsih town set on a harbour back drop is home to many traditional Cornish shops. Firstly we will visit the Shipwreck Museum, and get to see some artifacts from the Ocean, including the actual "Heart of Ocean" necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the Titanic Film. After this we will take you for some refreshments in Charlestown, and then have some free time explore the area.
Today, your accessible Cornwall and Devon Tour comes to an end. After a hearty breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Sit back, relax, and take in the views of the beautiful countryside, while enjoying a little bit of commentary from your Tour Manager. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
